The preservation of the endangered biodiversity

At the last 21 June 2008 meeting of the FSO project in Modena we agreed to facilitate an electronic discussion on the other questions that are key for the FSO project. One of them is local adaptation. This is going to be discuss until the end of september 2008.

The preservation of the endangered biodiversity by exploring the means, especially by participatory methodologies, to develop the on-farm agro-biodiversity is a key topic. Farms Seed Opportunities will thus fulfil the expectations of consumers, farmer community, researchers and policy-makers regarding the need to preserve endangered agro-biodiversity.
More clarity and shared understanding is needed on the threat of genetic erosion.

Le 21 Juin 2008, lors de la réunion du projet FSO à Modène, nous avons convenu de favoriser une discussion électronique sur les autres questions essentielles pour le projet FSO. L'un d'entre eux est l'adaptation locale. Cette discussion est ouverte jusqu'à la fin de septembre 2008.

La préservation de la biodiversité menacée en explorant différents moyens , en particulier les méthodes participatives, pour développer la biodiversité à la ferme est un sujet clé. FSO répondra aux attentes des consommateurs, des agriculteurs, les chercheurs et les décideurs en ce qui concerne la nécessité de préserver la biodiversité en danger.

Plus de clarté et de compréhension partagée est nécessaire sur le terme « menace de l'érosion génétique ».
