Introduction (VC)

1. Context in 2007 (at the starting of the project): discussion on the regulation for conservation varieties, diversity of the seed systems in Europe (both formal and informal), development of PPB for organic and low input agricultures. Objectives of FSO

3. Progress of the project in each WP from an organisational point of view

WP’s presentation (mainly for WP1 and 2)

The discussion (point 2) will be focus on the question how the seed regulation are concerned by the results about seed quality
What are the WP3 results which answer to the aims i) identifying technological and economic key constraints in seed production and marketing in the existing European initiatives on production and marketing of land races, conservation varieties and amateur varieties; and ii) development of methodologies for seed production and marketing in a participatory innovation development approach, involving all relevant actors.
For WP4,
Idem WP1 and 2, but task 4.3 will introduce the beginning of the propositions (as it was presented in Santa Fe).
Discussion
- With regard to the Better regulation process, what is new?
- Is the EU taking into account PPB and farmers’ varieties?
