Context:

It is not established to what extend farmers seeds management in Europe constitute a complementary strategy for: preserving part of agro-biodiversity and for contributing to novel phenotypes
Identify key points in maintenance, breeding in the existing European initiatives on seeds of landraces, conservation varieties and special 'amateur' varieties likely to improve the breeding of these seeds
Develop methodologies for conservation and breeding in an approach of participatory innovation development, involving all relevant actors and adapted to the diversity of local seeds.
