    The French Farmers Seed Network (RSP) and FSO Project are organizing a regional forum on agricultural biodiversity of the Mediterranean in Marseille from 14 to 18 October 2009. The meeting give the opportunity for a general presentation about the importance of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture and the role that the Treaty could have in Europe. The forum will begin with the International Conference of the EU project Farm Seed Opportunities (14 and 15 October), which will present the final outcomes of the project and will bring together experts on seed issue to discuss the results of the research programme. The 16 October, the RSP will organize with the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Cotes d'Azur a meeting entitled "Agricultural biodiversity: the place, role and rights of farmers and local authorities." The 17 and 18 October, there will be a open forum with a set of Conference to explain to the general public the importance of agricultural diversity, workshops transformations, exhibitions, seeds exchange space, farmer market, music....
